Prague 1

Situated in the centre of the city very near to Wenceslas Square, this restaurant brewery opened in 1993 is decorated with themes ranging from Gothic halls to 20s and 30s style rooms. There has been a brewery on the site for hundreds of years however the present building was erected in 1902.  The house specialt brew is the slightly sweet 11° Lavek beer. Its cloudy appearance is due to the fact that yeasts are not strained out after brewing. It is preservative free and retains its vitamins and minerals.

Groups of 10 or more may reserve an evening of beer and music. There is an accordion player every evening from 19:00 - 23:00. For groups we can arrange a tour of the brewery, which includes a small gift.

This restaurant is situated in the Old Town very close to the Old Town Square.

A beautiful, old wine cellar on Dlouha Street is where U Krkavcu has been serving traditional Czech dishes to an ever-growing appreciative clientele since it first opened hundreds of years ago. The vaulted Roman ceiling hints at its age, dating back to the 13th century. The building served as a brewery for many years and was bought in 1403 by a man whose name translates as ‘the raven’, hence the name ‘U Krkavcu’ – or – ‘At the Raven’s’.

U Krkavcu also serves a few exotic dishes.

Live gypsy music is often provided in the evenings.
