There’s a few bustling markets in Prague where fruits and vegetables can be a lot cheaper than in the
supermarkets although in the winter the best selection is still to be found indoors. Some of the markets are very tourist orientated and
might seem a bit ’tacky’ but there are goodies to be found and often some interesting art work is on display. There are
also markets which occasionally spring up all over the tourist areas - Old Town Square and Wenceslas Square - which are not
permanent fixtures and usually sell souvenirs, arts and craft.

Prague’s largest outdoor market. It is a vast network of kiosks with vendors selling an
endless variety of consumer goods. Warehouse-size stores selling furniture and hardware are also found here. Produce
prices are lower than in stores, but selection is often more limited. |
